10 Kochi-Gulf flights cancelled over three days as West Asia conflict intensifies
Budget carrier Akasa Air is the most affected, accounting for five of the cancelled services across the three days.
Ten Kochi-Gulf flights were cancelled over three days due to escalating West Asia conflict, affecting services from Cochin International Airport (CIAL). The disruptions involve multiple carriers and key Gulf destinations, according to CIAL authorities.
The cancellations cover October 11 to October 13 and impact routes from Kochi to Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha, and Ras Al Khaimah. Akasa Air accounts for five of the cancelled services across the three days, making it the most affected carrier.
Other airlines with disrupted services include Flynas, Air India Express, and IndiGo. Specific cancellations listed for October 11 include Flynas XY 399/400 (Kochi–Riyadh–Kochi), Air India Express IX 476 (Doha–Kochi) and IX 475 (Kochi–Doha), Akasa Air QP 523 (Kochi–Riyadh) and QP 550 (Kochi–Jeddah), and IndiGo 6E 1517 (Kochi–Ras Al Khaimah).
On October 12, Akasa Air cancellations include QP 551 (Jeddah–Kochi), QP 524 (Riyadh–Kochi), and QP 523 (Kochi–Riyadh). The following day, October 13, Akasa Air cancellation QP 524 (Riyadh–Kochi) is noted.
CIAL management has advised affected passengers to verify flight status with the respective airlines before heading to the airport to avoid inconvenience.
