OPTIONAL RECEIVER

SmartMarty works immediately. A receiver adds your own local coverage.

You do not need special hardware to begin. SmartMarty uses live community aircraft data automatically. Advanced users may connect a private ADS-B receiver for independent coverage and priority observations.

  1. Install an ADS-B antenna and RTL-SDR receiver.Use a Raspberry Pi or Linux computer within antenna cable reach.
  2. Install readsb or dump1090.Confirm its local aircraft.json feed updates every second.
  3. Create a receiver in SmartMarty Admin.Copy the one-time feeder token to the receiver computer.
  4. Install the SmartMarty feeder.Configure the local JSON URL and token, then enable its system service.
  5. Verify “Live” status.Your receiver observations will automatically supplement the community feed.
