PRIVACY & CAMERA CONTROL

Your camera and location remain under your control.

SmartMarty uses your current location, compass direction, device tilt and live camera view to match the direction you are pointing with nearby aircraft. These permissions begin only after you tap Start sky view.

Camera and recording

The camera supplies a live viewfinder. SmartMarty does not automatically photograph, record or upload camera footage. Take Photo and Start Recording require deliberate taps. Captures remain on your device unless you choose to download or share them.

Location and direction

Your latitude and longitude are sent to SmartMarty only to request nearby aircraft. Compass and tilt measurements are processed in your browser to select the best directional match.

Aircraft information

SmartMarty combines current community ADS-B observations with optional private receiver observations. Live community aircraft data is provided by ADSB.lol under ODbL 1.0.

Accounts

The service stores the account, verification, subscription and security information necessary to operate your SmartMarty membership. Administrative and billing credentials remain protected outside the public website directory.

Your choices

You may deny camera or location permission, stop the camera by leaving or closing the app, delete local captures, and sign out whenever you choose.
