Saudi airport struck again a day after deadly attack
The Saudi-led coalition said a projectile struck a terminal at Riyadh’s airport Sunday, a day after a missile attack killed 12 people and injured 309.
A projectile struck Terminal 4 at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, according to a Saudi-led coalition, as a separate, earlier attack at the same site drew international attention.
The coalition said the strike caused a fire, and authorities were working to control it. It also reported intercepting and destroying a cruise missile near the airport.
Saturday’s attack at the same facility killed at least 12 people and injured 309, with victims including a range of nationalities. Airport operations were suspended on Sunday following the incident.
The United States signaled it might join Saudi military operations against the Houthi rebels, with President Donald Trump saying a decision would be made soon after the latest attack.
International reactions included condemnation from several countries and calls for protection of international law and sovereignty. The Houthis, who have conducted multiple attacks on Saudi Arabia, have not immediately claimed responsibility for the latest strike.
