Vietjet Air has expanded its partnership with Collins Aerospace to support the carrier’s Airbus A320neo family aircraft operations.

On October 12, 2026, Collins Aerospace’s owner RTX said it would provide technical and maintenance solutions for Vietjet’s additional 44 GTF-powered A320neo family jets through its FlightSense program.

According to RTX under a contract amendment, FlightSense will deliver “guaranteed component availability, reduced downtime and cost predictability” therefore “enhancing the reliability and operational efficiency of the airline’s fleet”.

“FlightSense will enable Vietjet to turn raw data on its A320neo and A321XLR into predictable maintenance needs and improved reliability,” said Jen Latka, Vice President of Aftermarket, Power and Controls at Collins Aerospace.

Other carriers that have signed FlightSense contracts with Collins Aerospace include All Nippon Airlines (ANA), Singapore Airlines and Royal Brunei Airlines.

“The expansion of FlightSense will help strengthening our engineering administration, optimizing operation and reliability of Vietjet’s fleet, and laying foundation for the airline’s fleet and network expansion plan,” Michael Hickey, CCO of Vietjet, said.

According to ch-aviation data, Vietjet currently operates a fleet of 27 A321neos with a further 165 to be delivered in the future. Vietjet also has 20 A321XLRs on order.

RTX describes FlightSense as a full-lifecycle support program powered by Collins’ Ascentia analytics platform. The program helps airlines analyze data, optimize maintenance actions, and improve fleet operations.

In February 2026, Vietjet Air and Pratt & Whitney announced that the airline had selected an additional 44 GTF-powered Airbus A320neo family aircraft, including 24 A321neos and 20 A321XLRs.
