The A20 ANR aviation headset was quite a good seller for Bose, and its good performance and factory support made it a keeper for owners who passed on upgrading to the current A30 model. But it looks like it’s the end of the road for out of warranty factory support for the A20, which was covered for five years.
Used Bose A20 models have been selling for roughly $700.
According to a Bose spokesperson, the Framingham, Massachusetts-based company will continue to service later-model A20s that are still under the original five-year warranty, but it ended out-of-warranty repairs as of October 1, 2026. “The parts needed to repair the A20 are no longer available in the quantities needed to service sets that are out of warranty,” AvBrief was told.
The company pointed out that the A20 has been in service for more than 16 years. Bose released the current A30 model in March 2023 and it has a list price of $1299. It has a flat-rate repair cost of $300 and a five-year warranty.
At press time, Bose is offering a $300 credit toward a new A30 or the ProFlight Series 2.
