Pan Am-inspired cruise to launch in 2027 for airline’s anniversary
The 28-day cruise will trace some of the former airline’s historic routes through the Caribbean and Central America.
A Pan Am-inspired 100th Anniversary Legendary Voyage is set to launch in 2027, offered by Holland America Line as a commemorative cruise rather than a flight experience.
The 28-day itinerary will depart from Miami, Florida, and retrace portions of Pan Am’s historic routes through the Caribbean and Central America, with on-board talks from aviation historians and Pan Am-inspired dining experiences.
Onboard programming will include recreated elements of the Clipper Club, the private airport lounges once associated with Pan Am, and themed cocktails and period-inspired menus such as cocktail de crevettes, broiled filet mignon Maître d’Hôtel, and soufflé grand marnier with crème anglaise.
Land-side visits are planned to destinations including Cartagena (Colombia), Colón (Panama), St. John’s (Antigua), and Port of Spain (Trinidad & Tobago), offering Pan Am-inspired excursions along the voyage.
The event will blend Pan Am’s historical culture with Holland America Line’s offerings, featuring talks by figures like Linda Freire of the Pan Am Museum Foundation and former Pan Am pilots, to provide insights into the airline’s legacy.
