Five flights bound for Delhi were diverted due to rainfall, with three from Air India, one from Air India Express, and one freighter flight from Macau redirected to other airports. Four of the flights were diverted to Jaipur International Airport, and one was redirected to Noida International Airport.

The Air India diversions came from Ahmedabad, Bhopal, and Bengaluru, while the Air India Express flight originated from Bhubaneswar. The weather disruption affected the Delhi bound traffic on Thursday afternoon.

Rain and storm activity prompted the diverted routing, as the India Meteorological Department issued a red alert for moderate showers, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds in the city. The IMD later indicated the possibility of another spell of showers around midnight.

Visuals from major Delhi locations showed dark skies and rain-soaked surroundings, with reports of heavy showers in areas including Palam, Mandi House, Laxmi Nagar, and Geeta Colony. The weather outlook suggested continued unsettled conditions into Friday morning.
