DGCA is investigating an Air India incident involving a hijack alert that was later found to be false, with a final determination pending the probe.

Air India Flight AI2030, operated by a Boeing 787-9, originated from Frankfurt and was diverted to Jaipur due to the alert, before resuming its journey after security checks. The aircraft carried around 293 passengers and 13 crew members.

The diversion occurred to Jaipur International Airport and the flight landed there safely, with authorities conducting security checks before continuing.

Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu said any potential changes to security norms would be considered only after the DGCA completes its investigation and provides final information. He indicated that no changes will be announced until the probe's findings are known.

Naidu spoke on the sidelines of an event in Delhi marking Pawan Hans’s Raising Day, during which he also discussed fleet expansion and opportunities in eVTOL and seaplanes.
