Nigerian Business Aviation Conference returns after 10-year Hiatus as African Business Aviation Sector Accelerates
By Wallace Mawire
Nigerian Business Aviation Conference (NBAC) is scheduled to return in May 2027 after a 10-year hiatus, as organized by EAN Aviation under the theme One Sky Many Stakeholders.
The event will gather industry leaders, operators, regulators and government bodies, finance and leasing providers, OEMs, investors, aircraft owners, and other stakeholders from Nigeria, Africa, and the international aviation community.
NBAC 2027 comes amid strong momentum in African business aviation, with WingX data showing Africa as the fastest-growing region in 2025 (15% departures growth, versus 5% globally). Nigeria accounted for 49,586 business aviation departures from January 2019 to May 2026, about 19% of Africa’s total.
EAN Aviation notes that Lagos and Abuja are the continent’s two busiest airports and that about 80% of Nigerian activity was domestic, indicating strong underlying demand. The conference aims to address the needs for financing, infrastructure, maintenance capacity, skilled personnel, technology, and clear regulation to sustain growth.
NBAC 2027 will focus on uniting public and private sectors to develop practical solutions for African operating conditions, delivering access to Nigeria’s market and opportunities for partnerships across West Africa.
EAN Aviation, with over 15 years of experience in the Nigerian business aviation value chain, will continue to organize NBAC, leveraging its local knowledge and international industry relationships to support the conference’s objectives.
The event is described as the premier summit dedicated to advancing business and general aviation across Nigeria and West Africa, aiming to strengthen industry collaboration, encourage investment, support progressive regulation, and unlock sustainable economic value in the region.
