Riyadh airport reopens: Which airlines are still cancelling flights to Saudi Arabia?
UAE and other international services remain suspended despite airportâs reopening
Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport reopened on Sunday after being closed because of attacks by Houthi rebels in Yemen. Several airlines have not yet lifted their suspensions to Riyadh and other Saudi destinations, with some cancellations extending into November or beyond.
Etihad Airways has cancelled all Abu Dhabi–Riyadh flights until Monday, October 19, and its services to Dammam and Jeddah have been affected as well. Flight listings show some Dammam and Jeddah services continuing on Sunday, October 18.
Emirates has affected its Dubai–Riyadh, Dubai–Jeddah, and Dubai–Dammam operations with cancellations and schedule changes. Google’s listings indicate six Dubai–Riyadh services slated for October 20, and Emirates has cancelled flights to Riyadh, Dammam, and Abha up to October 19.
Air Arabia has suspended services between Sharjah and several Saudi destinations, including Riyadh, Abha, Dammam, and Taif, with no resumption date announced. The airline has temporarily suspended flights to and from Riyadh and Dammam, and no restart date has been provided.
Oman Air has suspended all Riyadh travels until October 22, with Riyadh and Dammam services cancelled through October 31 due to regional security developments. Other carriers listed extended suspensions or altered flight plans through mid to late October, with varying resumption timelines.
