Actor Donnie Wahlberg praised the pilots of the Falcon 50 aircraft he was on who aborted a takeoff at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on Sunday, avoiding construction equipment and fences before reaching the airport perimeter fence. The incident occurred as Las Vega prepares to welcome thousands of guests for the annual NBAA-BACE convention from Tuesday to Thursday. There were no reported injuries. The Blue Bloods star and member of New Kids on the Block took to social media to describe the event and had special praise for the pilots. “I’m just going to tell you these pilots saved our lives,” he said. “So we’re safe and thankful and all is well,” he said. The incident briefly closed two runways. It’s not clear if the aircraft was damaged or what prompted the aborted takeoff.
