Mohammed Fazal Pasha from Telangana is returning to India after sustaining injuries in the Riyadh airport attack on October 10, according to the Indian Embassy. The embassy said it monitored his treatment and stayed in touch with the hospital, and facilitated his travel after discharge.

The Indian Consulate General in Jeddah issued an updated advisory for Indian nationals affected by flight disruptions in Saudi Arabia, noting that airports in Jeddah, Madinah and Dammam remained operational despite some flight disruptions.

Airline service suspensions affecting travel to and from Saudi Arabia were announced by Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo until October 24, 2026, with Akasa Air extending its suspension to October 27. Saudia continues scheduled flights to India from Jeddah, Madinah and Dammam, and other options include Flynas and Flyadeal services between specified Saudi and Indian cities, subject to availability.

The advisory suggested passengers explore alternative routes, including connections through the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar, while meeting visa and entry requirements. Travel agents and Umrah providers were urged to coordinate with the consulate to arrange alternative flights and to maintain contact with pilgrims.

The consulate reported ongoing coordination with local authorities, airlines, travel operators, and community volunteers to assist affected nationals, including provision of essential medicines, food, and other necessities, with 24x7 control rooms in Jeddah and Makkah offering support to those needing urgent assistance.
