A private jet was evacuated on the Toluca runway after an electrical failure affected steering and braking systems during its landing, according to officials. Eleven people were aboard flight XA-CBQ when it made an emergency approach to Toluca International Airport near Mexico City.

The aircraft reportedly landed at 12:04 p.m. local time after departing Aguascalientes about an hour earlier. Fire and rescue crews responded as airport staff activated emergency procedures, and footage showed smoke emanating from the jet on the runway.

The plane veered off the runway during the incident, and the runway was temporarily closed while the aircraft was removed and safety checks were conducted. The airport confirmed that none of the nine passengers or two crew members were injured.

Authorities have not confirmed the exact aircraft type, though aviation outlets have suggested it was a Gulfstream G200, a super-midsize, twin-engine business jet. An investigation into the electrical failure is under way by the relevant authorities.
