A Telangana man injured in the Oct 10 attack at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport is returning to India after discharge from hospital, according to the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia.

Mohammed Fazal Pasha sustained injuries in the incident and was discharged following medical treatment. The embassy said it closely monitored his condition and maintained regular communication with the hospital during his treatment, and subsequently coordinated arrangements for his return to India.

The advisory from the Indian Embassy, issued on Oct 18 amid heightened security concerns following strikes by Houthi rebels, urged Indian nationals to follow emergency instructions from Saudi authorities via the National Early Warning Platform for Emergencies. The guidance emphasized staying calm, moving to a safe location inside a building, and relying on official communications.

Meanwhile, air travel disruptions to and from Saudi Arabia persist, with Air India and Air India Express extending the suspension of their services until Oct 24. Passengers affected by the cancellations have been offered options to rebook or obtain refunds according to the airlines’ terms.
