Air Canada Cargo expands winter freighter network
Air Canada Cargo expands its winter freighter network with new main-deck capacity services connecting Toronto to Amsterdam, Monterrey, and Panama City
Air Canada Cargo is expanding its winter freighter network by adding dedicated routes from Toronto to Amsterdam, Monterrey, and Panama City. The changes aim to boost main-deck capacity on key transatlantic and Latin American trade corridors.
Beginning October 29, Air Canada Cargo will operate a twice-weekly freighter service to Amsterdam from its Toronto hub, enhancing European coverage and complementing existing passenger flights to the city.
The carrier is also adding routes to Monterrey and Panama City, which are described as important manufacturing and distribution hubs in Mexico and Central America. These new services are intended to deepen cargo connectivity to those regions.
Together, the new destinations are positioned to broaden schedules from Toronto and offer more flexible routing options for goods moving between Europe, Canada, and Latin America, according to the airline’s notes.
Toronto Pearson, described as Canada’s busiest air travel and trade hub, is highlighted as a key node in Air Canada Cargo’s international operations, with the expansion expected to reinforce trade links and supply chains.
