The Indian Embassy in Riyadh said it is assisting with transporting the mortal remains of an Indian national killed in the Dammam airport attack to India, as it remains in contact with the victim’s family.
Two Indian nationals injured in the Dammam airport attack were identified by officials; one was discharged from hospital and the other was expected to be discharged on a later date. An additional Indian national injured in a drone attack on the Shaybah oilfield was discharged from hospital.
The embassy noted Saudi authorities were providing medical care to the injured and thanked them for their support. It also issued advisories urging the Indian community to take precautions and to avoid taking or sharing photos or videos of interception or impact sites.
The attack on Dammam airport occurred amid broader strikes by Yemen's Houthi rebels targeting Saudi infrastructure, a context mentioned by officials in coverage of related incidents. The embassy reported on the October 10 Riyadh airport attack that seven Indians had been discharged to date, with two others still in hospital, and one Indian national having died.
