Dublin Airport has issued an update as the worst effects of Storm Boelo ease and a major clean-up operation begins across Ireland. The airport notes that dozens of flights were cancelled today, following several cancellations on Saturday.

While conditions in the Dublin area have improved tonight, weather issues continue to impact flight operations and could lead to further disruption at other airports. A spokesperson emphasized ongoing weather-related effects on aviation as the situation evolves.

Around 40 flights were cancelled by airlines today at Dublin Airport, with further impact anticipated as warnings remain in place. Passengers are advised to travel to the airport as normal for tonight and tomorrow, with timing guidance of two hours before short-haul and three hours before long-haul departures, and to stay in touch with their airline for updates.

Weather warnings are in effect for Bank Holiday Monday, including Yellow rain warnings for Cork and Kerry, and Yellow wind warnings for multiple counties across the Republic. Additional Yellow rain warnings are set for Cork, Galway, Kerry and Mayo during the afternoon and evening hours.

The forecast notes that while Yellow warnings extend into Northern Ireland counties into Tuesday, the Republic may see more settled conditions with a slight risk of isolated thunderstorms. By Wednesday, temperatures are expected to rise, with sunshine and further easing of winds anticipated.
