Yemen’s Houthi movement said it targeted a major Saudi airport and pumping stations along a key oil pipeline in what it described as part of its recent strikes against Saudi infrastructure.

The group’s military spokesman claimed a ballistic missile was fired at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and drones were used against pumping stations on the East-West Pipeline, according to the statement released early Monday.

Saudi authorities reported a security alert in Riyadh, while coalition spokesmen described intercepting a ballistic missile aimed at the capital and conducting operations against Houthi missile networks and infrastructure.

The Saudi-led coalition said it destroyed ballistic missile launchers, tunnels, and missile depots in areas controlled by the Houthis, as part of broader operations described as exercises of self-defense.

The East-West Pipeline, also known as the Petroline, is a 1,200-kilometer oil transport route from eastern Saudi Arabia to Yanbu on the Red Sea, which has previously been targeted by Houthi attacks.

The Houthis also claimed attacks on government forces in Aden and Lahij in Yemen, though these claims have not been independently verified, while Saudi forces emphasized a campaign against Houthi positions and equipment.
