Operations are running at full speed at AMAC Aerospace Group of Companies, with new approvals secured, contracts signed and increasing demand across a wide range of maintenance, completion and modification services.
Three 8C inspections on Bombardier Global Express
We are seeing more and more Bombardier aircraft entering our hangars in Basel and we are pleased to report an increase of 25% in Bombardier maintenance projects compared to 2025.
We are about to perform our third 8C check on a Bombardier Global Express this year, which will mark the first time we have completed three such major inspections within a single year on Bombardier aircraft.
This accomplishment strengthens our experience in carrying out major checks on Bombardier Global aircraft, an area in which we are expanding alongside our additional Bombardier services, including refurbishments, modifications and PPIs.
With many MRO centers in the close regions of Basel, it is a proof of trust in our capabilities that a growing number of customers are positioning their aircraft at AMAC Aerospace.
Contract signed for medevac installations
We are also pleased to announce that we have signed a new contract for a medevac installation on a Bombardier Challenger aircraft, scheduled to arrive at the beginning of 2027. With the client’s appreciation towards AMAC Aerospace’s services, this can be followed up with a second project in 2028.
This dual configuration is very popular among Bombardier Challenger operators, and we are receiving further interest from other clients seeking similar solutions.
In addition to the medevac installation, the aircraft will also be equipped with a Gogo FDX high-speed connectivity system, which is another highly requested feature.
First Gogo FDX connectivity installation on Bombardier Global 5000
Connectivity installations remains one of our most requested modification services, with particularly strong demand for Gogo FDX, especially from our Airbus customers. Currently, we have an ACJ 319 undergoing installation, and we are proud to be the first company worldwide to install the system on a Bombardier Global 5000. Further Gogo FDX contracts are signed on narrow-body aircraft for the next 3-months, and several further opportunities remain under discussion.
Continued activity in self defense systems
Self-defense is another activity that continues to represent an important area from our clients.
Since 2016, we have successfully equipped 9x aircraft with self defense solutions. Earlier this year, we completed an installation on an ACJ 330, while two additional Bombardier Challengers are in progress.
We continue to see strong demand from customers requiring both new Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) and the implementation of existing STCs.
Full-scale cabin mockups return to completion projects
On the completions side of our business, we have observed a renewed interest in full-scale cabin mockups. At AMAC Aerospace, we have the capability to design and build these mockups in-house, and we have seen an increase in customer requests for this service compared to recent years.
Although advanced digital visualization tools remain popular, some customers prefer to experience their future cabin interiors through a full-scale mockup. This allows them to assess layouts, validate dimensions, and experience the cabin environment at full scale before making final design decisions.
Approval for Boeing BBJ in Auch, France
In August 2026, our sister company, JCB Aero, located in Auch near Toulouse, France, received Part 145 Boeing approval. With the already established Airbus Part 145 approval since the launch of MRO services in 2024, we are pleased to now be able to welcome Boeing aircraft as well.
This approval covers Base and Line Maintenance on Boeing B737 aircraft, including the B737-600, B737-700, B737-800 and B737-900 variants, and marks another milestone in the expansion of AMAC Aerospace Group of Companies capabilities.
