Official: United Airlines World's New #1 Boeing 787 Operator
United Airlines has overtaken ANA as the world's largest Boeing 787 operator, with further Dreamliner expansion planned.
United Airlines has surpassed All Nippon Airways to become the world’s largest operator of Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The U.S. carrier now operates 96 787s across all three variants, compared with ANA’s 92 aircraft.
The development marks a shift in the global 787 landscape, ending ANA’s longstanding lead in the type that it first introduced into commercial service in 2011. The update reflects United’s expansion and fleet management across its widebody lineup.
The report confirms United’s position as the top 787 operator based on the total number of Dreamliners in service. The figures account for the three 787 variants currently in operation by the airline.
ANA previously held the title of the world’s largest 787 operator, a distinction it maintained since the 787 entered commercial service. No other details regarding routes, operations, or specific aircraft assignments are provided in the material.
