VR Leasing says it will buy 20 Pipistrel Voyager trainers in the next year and make them available for lease to flight schools that want a more affordable way to add a state-of-the-art trainer to their fleet. “The offering will provide flight training organisations with an alternative to outright aircraft acquisition, combining flexible leasing arrangements with the Voyager’s broader training capabilities,” VR Leasing said in a news release. First deliveries of the aircraft are expected just after the New Year and the order will be completed through the year. AvBrief shot this video at AirVenture to introduce the Voyager.

The Voyager was introduced by Textron’s Pipistrel at AirVenture 2026 and is aimed squarely at the opportunities created by the Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification (MOSAIC). It’s a fully capable IFR training platform and certified for intentional spins. Pipistrel also estimates operating costs will be a third less than other trainers, which VR Leasing says is a key part of its sales pitch to flight schools.
