Nothing beats a Jet2… charter? Low-cost airline unveils business class-only plane
The Boeing 737-800NG has 76 business class seats and is based out of Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
Jet2 Charter, the charter arm of the UK-based low-cost airline, has introduced a dedicated business class configuration on a Boeing 737-800NG. The aircraft for this service features 76 business class seats, compared with 189 seats on standard Jet2 737-800NGs.
The new all-business-class setup is based on the carrier’s Liverpool John Lennon Airport operations in the United Kingdom. Jet2 says the product was introduced in response to demand from sports, music, entertainment, and specialist groups.
Jet2 Charter executive Trevor Caplis outlined the development as the first time the airline has featured a dedicated business class specification on its aircraft, describing it as an exciting development for charter customers. He noted positive feedback from charter customers regarding the premium feel, space, and comfort.
The airline positions the new cabin as offering a luxurious environment combined with Jet2’s customer service, aiming to appeal to charter clients for the upcoming winter season. Jet2 indicates that the premium concept aligns with a broader industry trend toward premium options in aviation.
