FTAI Aviation shares climbed 14.5% on Thursday after the company announced a doubling of its share repurchase authorization to $1 billion and a $500 million accelerated buyback with Royal Bank of Canada.

The firm reported third-quarter results that missed Wall Street expectations, with earnings per share of $1.43 versus a $1.54 consensus and revenue of $977.7 million, below the $994.2 million analysts had anticipated.

Aerospace Products revenue rose sharply, up 76% to $910.0 million driven by production of 311 CFM56 modules.

Management reaffirmed its adjusted EBITDA guidance for 2026 and 2027, including a $2.3 billion target for 2027, and declared a 50-cent quarterly dividend.

The company faces liquidity considerations, with less than $386 million in cash against more than $3.45 billion in long-term debt, suggesting that funding the full repurchase could require additional borrowing.
