An Akasa Air flight from Delhi to Darbhanga was diverted to Ahmedabad on Saturday due to technical reasons, according to reports. The diversion occurred after the aircraft reportedly made an emergency landing in Ahmedabad.

Flight QP 1201 was redirected from its planned route, with passengers subsequently being transported back to Delhi airport. The exact nature of the technical issue and full details surrounding the diversion were not immediately disclosed.

Darbhanga Airport officials indicated that maintenance work by the Indian Air Force continued into Saturday afternoon, resulting in suspended landings and take-offs until around noon. The airport director noted that no Akasa Air service was scheduled on the Delhi–Darbhanga route during that period.

Cancellations affected the Mumbai–Darbhanga corridor, with one pair of flights operated by SpiceJet and Akasa Air cancelled on Saturday, effectively halting that route for the day. No passenger movements were recorded on those services.

Other flights to and from Darbhanga on Saturday largely operated as scheduled, with six flights connecting Darbhanga to Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru proceeding normally. Some arrivals, including Akasa Air from Bengaluru and IndiGo from Hyderabad and Delhi, arrived slightly ahead of their scheduled times.
