Two teenage brothers who were injured in the Houthi missile strike on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport have been discharged from hospital and are now receiving outpatient care in Riyadh.

Aman Ali, 18, and Wasi Ali, 16, required surgery for injuries to their abdomens and limbs caused by falling debris and glass shards. Their uncle confirmed that both boys were discharged this weekend and would remain in Riyadh for further medical follow-up.

Their father, Mohammad Yousuf Ali, 46, an Indian engineer who worked in IT support for a Riyadh bank, was among 13 civilians killed in the attack on October 10. The family was preparing to board a flight to Medina for Umrah when the terminal was struck.

The brothers and their mother are staying with relatives in Riyadh as they continue post-operative care. The Indian ambassador to Saudi Arabia indicated the family plans to return to Hyderabad, India in the coming weeks after completing treatment in Riyadh.

Saudi authorities reported that air defences intercepted missiles and that Riyadh’s airport remains partially open with international services still disrupted. Several foreign carriers have canceled flights to Riyadh amid ongoing regional disruption.
