A Learjet 60 crash in Florida killed nine people, including a 20-year-old pilot identified by her family as Nathalia Filgueiras and a co-pilot who was 17 when she earned her license.

The victims also included Adam Robinson, his wife Helen Sharp, their two children Emma and Charlie, and Anita Maria Cetina, who helped care for the children. Two additional victims were named as Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr; authorities have not publicly disclosed all identities.

The crash occurred in a residential area of Greenacres, about 7 miles southwest of West Palm Beach, after the jet fell from the sky and exploded on impact. A federal investigator indicated parts of the aircraft appeared to break off before impact, and investigators noted the weather would be a major focus.

Filgueiras held the rating to fly the Learjet model but not to act as the pilot in command, according to The Associated Press. One pilot reportedly alerted air traffic control about ice conditions amid rain prior to the descent.

NASA administrator Jared Isaacman cautioned against speculation about the causes and highlighted that the SIC would have training and checkouts appropriate for the flight, emphasizing the typical early-career path for charter pilots. The families issued a joint statement honoring the victims and noting their contributions to the lives of those around them.
