A LOT Polish Airlines flight from London Heathrow carrying about 181 people was diverted to Warsaw Modlin Airport after a bomb threat was made against the aircraft. The flight, LO286, had departed Heathrow at 6:45 am local time and landed at Modlin around 10:00 am local time (9:00 am GMT).

The aircraft involved was a Boeing 737 Max 8 operating the Heathrow to Warsaw route. Emergency services responded at Modlin Airport, which was closed pending further assessment.

A separate incident occurred with another flight arriving in Warsaw from Copenhagen, operated by SAS, which also received a bomb threat. That plane touched down at Warsaw Chopin Airport, which remained operational while flight schedules were adjusted.

There has been no confirmation of dangerous items found or the nature of the threats, and authorities have not stated whether the threats were hoaxes or false alarms. Passengers on the diverted flight have been advised to expect delays and possible changes to travel plans as emergency services continue their response.
