An Indian national who was critically injured in a Houthi attack on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport last October has died in hospital, the Indian Embassy in Riyadh confirmed. The man had been in intensive care since the October 10 attack as authorities continue to assess the broader toll in the region.

The latest death brings the number of Indians killed in the West Asia conflict to 24. The embassy said it would provide continued support to the family and would assist with arrangements for repatriation or a funeral in Riyadh, depending on the family's wishes.

The October 10 strike targeted a complex housing airport terminals 3 and 4, with reports of multiple casualties and injuries among several nationalities, including Indians. The embassy noted the ongoing efforts to assist those affected and to monitor developments.

Indians across the Gulf region face heightened risks as the conflict continues to affect air travel and maritime operations. Airlines have adjusted schedules and suspended certain services to destinations in Saudi Arabia, with some carriers extending cancellations into mid-November.

The Indian Consulate in Jeddah is coordinating with airlines, tour operators and community groups to assist stranded nationals, while urging travelers to stay informed and follow official advisories and airline updates for schedules and rebooking options.
