This Swanky Service Lets Commercial Fliers Skip the Airport Entirely—And It's Now Available in Dallas and Miami
Starting at $1,295, PS's new terminals trade the airport gate for caviar, chauffeurs, and a private TSA lane. Here's what it's like.
PS is expanding its private-terminal service for commercial fliers, now operating in Dallas and Miami after debuting at LAX in 2017 and later expanding to ATL. The Dallas-Fort Worth facility opened on June 1, adjacent to Corporate Aviation, offering a private, streamlined experience with its own TSA checkpoint and immigration controls separate from the main terminal.
In Dallas, guests are welcomed in a luxury, residential-style lounge area with a 40-foot bar and a dedicated private suite for each party. The behind-the-scenes operations include a Control Room that tracks flights and coordinates with the airline, TSA, and CBP, enabling staff to notify travelers about delays and manage the boarding process directly from the PS terminal to the jet bridge.
Arriving in Miami reveals a different ambiance: the PS terminal sits in a historic Pan Am building, restored and integrated into the Pan American Airways Historic District. The Miami facility spans about 34,000 square feet and features suites with distinct design themes, including pink interiors and tropical touches, plus a courtyard and pool area with Art Deco styling.
The service promises seamless departures and arrivals by handling security, baggage, and transfers within the PS environment. Guests go through a private TSA checkpoint inside the terminal, and PS can check bags with the airline on the traveler’s behalf, then escort them directly to their aircraft.
Pricing for PS memberships and access varies: entry-level Salon access and Private Suite bookings are available to non-members, with tiered memberships offering reduced rates for Salon access and Private Suite bookings. The concept targets premium business travelers, families, and celebratory travelers seeking a faster, more private airport experience.
PS emphasizes that the value is greatest for long flights, complex routings, and travelers with multiple bags or assistance needs, claiming the experience offers “complete peace of mind” by blending private and commercial aviation elements.
