A wave of bomb threats disrupted air traffic across Europe, affecting at least 18 flights to nine countries, with threats also reaching media organizations.

Threats targeted multiple flights in Europe, including incidents in Hungary, France, and the Czech Republic, with several flights diverted or evacuated but all landed safely and were inspected with no explosives found.

The incidents spanned several days and involved reports of threats to flights from Brussels to Sofia, Prague to Cyprus, and Prague to Romania, among others, plus a Ryanair flight from Portugal to Rome and a Wizz Air flight diverted to Venice.

Media organizations and broadcasters were also targeted, triggering evacuations at Ireland’s RTÉ headquarters and a security alert at Britain’s Sky News. Other targets included Bulgaria’s NOVA TV.

Authorities have not identified a perpetrator, with investigations exploring possible links to hybrid threats amid rising geopolitical tensions, while some groups have denied involvement or claimed non-existent activity.
