Air Transat grounds Ottawa-London, England flights in 2027
Passengers will not be able to fly on Air Transat from Ottawa to London, England next year.
Air Transat has announced it will not operate the Ottawa–London Gatwick route in 2027 as part of a broader network optimization effort.
The Ottawa–London Gatwick service launched last May with three weekly nonstop flights but will be removed from the 2027 schedule, according to the airline.
Air Transat says it will instead focus on year-round nonstop service to London Gatwick from Toronto and seasonal nonstop service from Montreal. The company notes a partnership with Porter Airlines to provide additional connecting options within Canada to the destination.
Other options remain for travelers seeking Ottawa–London travel, including Air Canada’s Ottawa–London Heathrow flights and Air France’s Ottawa–Paris Charles de Gaulle nonstop service.
The announcement indicates that Ottawa to London flights will not be available on Air Transat next year, with the carrier stating that the route has been dropped as part of network optimization.
