Two days after a hoax call, Pune airport officials are continuing with police investigation into the incident. A caller claimed around 7 am on Thursday that a bomb attack would take place at Pune airport, prompting an immediate security response.

The airport police registered a case against an unidentified person for the hoax. Senior inspector Govind Jadhav said the bomb detection and disposal squad and airport teams scanned the facility, but nothing suspicious was found. The case was filed on Friday and authorities are tracing the mobile number used for the call.

According to Jadhav, neither airport officials nor airline companies had received the warning directly, and the police control room forwarded the message to the Airport police station after it was received. The caller spoke in Hindi and warned of a bombing, but the line was dropped mid-call.

Investigators have obtained the mobile number details involved in the hoax and are continuing the inquiry. The report notes that the caller appeared to fumble while speaking before disconnecting. No injuries, aircraft details, or confirmed threats are described in the material.
